SARC members and other attendees may take photographs and videos at events and other gatherings, and may publish them on our website or on social media for promotional and archival purposes. If you appear in a photo or video and wish to have it removed, email your request to webmaster@ve7sar.net. We will honor all such requests within a reasonable time frame. If unresolved, you may escalate your request to directors@ve7sar.net.
When you become a member or interact with SARC, you may provide personal data (e.g., name, callsign, email). This data is used only for group operations, including but not limited to:
Membership tracking
Communications (e.g., newsletters)
Event coordination
Course and certification administration
We may share personal data with designated SARC members and select non-members (e.g., volunteer bookkeepers, IT support, etc.) who perform administrative tasks for the Society. These individuals are instructed to keep your data confidential and use it only for group purposes.
By applying for membership or participating in group activities, you consent to this use and handling of your data.
We retain personal information as long as required for group operations. You may contact us to request a review or removal of your data, subject to operational needs. Applicable laws may require us to retain some data, such as financial transaction records.
