2m Attenuator & Yagi

In August 2026 eight club members took part in a hands-on build of equipment for 2m foxhunting. Each member assembled an offset attenuator, designed to help locate a fox transmitter at close range by reducing the received signal level and preventing receiver overload. We also built 3-element Yagi antennas to provide directional reception for tracking the fox. The completed attenuators and antennas were briefly tested and worked well. It was a successful and enjoyable club project, giving members the opportunity to build and test their own equipment for future foxhunts.
