SARC Winlink Gateways

SARC operates two VARA-capable Winlink gateways, both designed, built, and maintained by our repeater manager, Horace Bong, VA7XHB. VE7HME-10 is located at Surrey Firehall 1 on 145.710 MHz, and VE7ADQ-10 is at the Concord Tower on 145.770 MHz. Both support 1200 baud Packet, VARA FM Wide, and feature active VARA FM digipeaters, enabling extended coverage through digipeating. Winlink gateways are trusted worldwide by emergency teams for their ability to deliver email over radio when internet and phone networks are down—providing reliable messaging and coordination when it matters most.
